Famous Architect’s Building: Materials Application
Introduction
This project was a individual project to study on the materials of famous buildings by famous architect. I am required to pick one buildings by the hand of famous architecture to do analysis on structural materials and architectural materials. I chose Beijing National Stadium by Herzog and De Meuron Architekten which was the place that held 2008 Beijing Olympic. The reason I chose this structure is i wanted to know how the concept of this buildings and how they asemble the steel to make it look like a bird nest which the structure also known as the Bird Nest
Reflective writing
I think i made a good choice of picking this structure as the buildings for this project because I learnt alot from the architects on the assemble methods of the steel frame and also the concept of making the structure look like this. Other than that is an honour to make a presentation board of the analysis of the materials and i hope one day in the future i could make it to have a visit or views at this gorgeous master piece by the famous architect.
